Homemade Peri Peri sauce Prep time 5 mins Cook time 10 mins Total time 15 mins Author: Neha Recipe type: Sauce Cuisine: African Ingredients Red bell pepper - 250 g Red onion - 100 g African red chilli - 100 g ( Use any spicy variety of red chilli if African red chilli is not available ) Garlic - 10-12 cloves Paprika / Red chilli powder - 1 tbsp Black pepper powder - 1/2 tsp Vinegar - 1/2 cup Salt - 2 tsp Olive oil - 1/4 cup Dried Oregano - 1 tbsp Lemon zest - 1 tsp Lemon juice - 3 tbsp Instructions Add all the ingredients in the jar of a blender and blend to make a smooth sauce. Transfer the sauce in a pan and cook for 15-20 minutes on medium low heat. Remove the pan from heat and let the sauce cool down. Pour the sauce in a glass jar and refrigerate for up to 15 days.
